In the previous posting (Upgrade Guide) - you saw that each class of plane has an identical set of upgrades. Therefore, if you want to know the capabilities of a fully upgraded plane, just add the planes initial performance numbers (the % increase of the 3 or 4 key parameters that were advertised when you bought it) to the upgrade table. I have done this for all the planes as shown below. The highlighted green cells are the areas that are unique for each given plane. The non-highlighted cells are the standard, fully upgraded, capability for that parameter for the given class of plane (weapons class, agility class, defense class). This will give you a good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of each plane when it is fully upgraded.
Example: Looking at the weapons class table: I had already realized that the F-113 Eagle had a much better lock range than the F-51 Hawken. What I hadn't realized was that the Eagle also has better missile and cannon damage. The main strength of the Hawken is its very good missile reload speed. However, the Hawken is not the best at missile reload speed - looking across the table, you will see that is the FA-88 Hurricane!
You can use these tables to analyze each plane and decide which is best for you! It gives an accurate and unbiased listing of each planes capabilities.
Key:
Green box =Boost for plane
Blue Box = Boost for plane AND Best in Class
Gold Box = Boost for plane AND Best in Fleet (all planes)
Gold Outline = No Boost for plane but Best in Fleet

On an ending note, I am curious if there are any other unlisted or hidden factors in a planes performance. Has Z2Live been on-the-level with us and not hidden any other secret performance factors??? Curious if any of you readers have an opinion on that topic.
The D-112 Eagle is not limited edition. It was an all-time in-store product until they removed from store since the update to MSW 4.0.0. Nothing special about that but great analysis you did I see :)
ReplyDeleteStupendous site with content like this!
ReplyDeleteReally looking forward to a guide on how to turn very fast.
BTW, is there a way to fix the blog date? Kinda of surreal to see you can post 10 days from the future.
You can't turn fast but if you want more handling you can look on the left side. There is an up or down arrow. Up is fast, down is slow. Slow is more handling or sharper turns, great to use when you are stuck in a circle on vs. mode
Deletethank you for the information i saved it on my ipod.i really needed this i like to know wat the best choice wen i play wingman
ReplyDeleteIs the agility on the table correct for the Spectre. I thought it had a +14% plus what you get on the upgrade tree?
ReplyDeleteHatcheroonie
d-7 wartysk is out and d-21 falcon add them to the list

DeleteYo MetalStormforever, just wondered why you've not included the S-03 Saber in your table? It's a weapons class plane and if I'm not mistaken, it actually has an equal 'real-damage' rating to the Hawken, including all damage stats: missile cannon and overall damage ratings into a total hypothetical damage rating.
ReplyDeleteSabre's headline stats are: Damage 12%, Lock Range 5%, Missile Reload 10%, Lock Speed 5%; F-51 Hawken headline stats: Damage 12%, Agility 10%, Missile Reload 10%, Lock Speed 5%.
Saber max upgrade damage stats - Missile damage from ballistics upgrade ["improved ballistics"] 8%, Cannon Damage from uranium rounds 10%, 6% increased damage whilst energy is above 85% from Damage Amplifier, 12% extra missile damage and 15% extra cannon damage from GX-80 Executor System.
Now compare the nitty gritty to Hawken's max upgrade damage stats -
Missile damage from ballistics upgrade ["improved ballistics"] 8%, Cannon Damage from uranium rounds 10%, 6% increased damage whilst energy is above 85% from Damage Amplifier, 12% extra missile damage and 15% extra cannon damage from GX-80 Executor System.
Identical.
This means that Hawken and Saber are equal [in damage capability] yet it also menas they are inferior to Eagle-X [highest total damage] and Red Widow [second highest.]
Cimon, good catch! I hadn't noticed those were missing and have went and added them. Appreciate the note. I have also relooked at the Saber and changed my review. You are correct, it really is a better rated plane than the Hawken!
DeleteHas the Hawken lost a 10% agility?
ReplyDeleteNo it has not - thats what happens when you have the same spreadsheet on 2 different computers! Should be fixed now.
DeleteOk thx!
ReplyDeleteWhat about the new FA-119 Reaper (Agility Class)?
Should a Red Widow owner buy it??
Thank you!
If you like agi planes, then buy it but personally I prefer the red widow.
Deleteit's a totally different style...quick, cannon dog-fighter vs quick strike missle fighter...so to answer your question...of course you should buy it...depends on your mood switch from plane to plane. I love my hawken but i just got a reaper and it is a totally diff play...don't limit yourself!
ReplyDeleteI left the comment on the leaked plane reviews section also... How much do the leaked planes cost please tell if you know. If not, please find out.
ReplyDeletePs. Site is still a beast
I do not know the exact prices - maybe if SOUSOUCELL reads this comment, he can reply since it looks like he bought a couple of them. The ones showing were priced at 180 coins and the reaper sold for 205 coins, so my guess that they will all be in that ballpark.
DeleteThank you for the information it really helped,
DeleteHey, MetalStorm Forever, I just left the above comment. Do you think that they will come back out with the Green Eagle like they are the Spectre. (according to sousoucell)
DeleteI haven't heard any tips either way. If I had to guess, I would say that the Green Eagle will likely return at some point since so many people are still interested int it and would likely buy it.
DeleteMetalStormForever- is the site for Z2 ... Z2Live.com or something else. Can you tell me cause I wanted to ask them a few questions ( if possible ) about this game.
ReplyDeleteOh and do you have any other blogs for other games you make?
I am not affiliated with Z2Live at all, just an average guy who likes the game. No other blogs at the moment. If you have questions, you can try their help forum at getsatisfaction.com/z2live/topics or go to their site at z2live.com
ReplyDeleteHey MSF,
ReplyDeleteI just noticed this if you haven't seen it yet. Buy a banshee and fire it a few times, then by the Valkyrie and fire it a few times. The Valkyrie has les spread on the bullets when they come out giving the in my opinion, a better chance of killing your opponents quicker.
Never noticed, very interesting
DeleteIs it me or is the reaper armor star incorrect still says only 5%
ReplyDeletegood catch, should be fixed now
DeleteOk. Just in case the green eagle comes back out( PLEASE) should I buy it or the juggernaut?
ReplyDeleteIt depends what you are looking for - if you want unparalleled regenerative armor, wait for the green eagle, but on the other hand, it may never come. If you want the best stealth and armor, get the juggernaut. My opinion is that the green eagle is much more valuable.
DeleteJuggernuat just came out. I,m still waiting for the sentinel!
DeleteWhat is the difference in special edition and limited edition in the defense chart? ( jugg. Says "special")
ReplyDeleteNo difference, just a typo.
DeleteHow do I find out my win loss ratio in vs. want to find out if it is high or low
ReplyDeleteClick on the 'skill rating' box (top right)....you'll see
Deletexxxx GAMES

Doesn't give you a ratio, but it gives you an idea.
Yo MeatalStorm what is ur favorite class of plane
ReplyDeleteIs no one having any discussions any more on this site I haven't seen any new comments lately?!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of Agility planes. I have a heavily upgraded Maurader (i like the skull) and I've been getting beat by some of the high end Weapons type planes. I'm not good by any means, but I feel like my agility gave me less advantage than the weapons on a weapon type plane.
ReplyDeleteI did a bit of number crunching and compared the planes in each category and against each category. I found that the developers have a bias towards Weapons type planes and against Agility:
1) There are more Weapon type planes:14 (Agility:11, Defense:8)
2) Both Weapons and Defense have an extra upgrade (Lock Range & Missle Resistance, respectively)
5) Weapon type planes have higher upgrade percentages that the others. For example, the top 3 weapons have an upgrade percentange of 551, 548 & 542. Highest Agility is 463 and Defense is 454. Way below the Weapon type.
4) On average, the upgrade percentage for both Weapons and Defense are higher that Agility (W: 517.3%, D: 438.4%, A: 432.4%)
What do you guys think?
haha...maybe I can't count...I went from 1,2 to 5 then to 4 :D
DeleteI think its because weapons type planes are more expensive and are typically like flying turtles when you first get them and because most players prefer quickly killing other players from long range than really dog-fighting them. So for the company this translates to more weapons class planes + more people who want them = more profit.
DeleteBut that's just what I think. I've been flying agility planes for forever though and most versus fights are against weapons class that virtually fire long range missiles like arrow showers.
There is a lot of discussion about which plane is the best (or which class). Here's a quick run down of what I've found.
ReplyDeleteCAMPAIGN: weapon's is the best choice - nothing beats killing opponent quickly, closely followed be defence - especially if you have good armor regen. Agility is not going to help you here. Fully upgraded wepon's plane should have sufficient armor to last through the campaign.
VERSUS: agility is hard to beat, but green eagle with its armor regen is almost impossible to kill. Wepon's planes can send you packing too with the rain of ammo. This is a classic rock-paper-scissors problem. You have to know strengths and weaknesses of your plane and opponents and adjust your tactic accordingly.
CAMPAIGN: defense rules here - on long runs you will get hit and regen will save you. Wepon's planes don't have any and agility won't help you much here.
Happy gaming
Last one should be SURVIVAL not campaign.
Deletei finished the campaign with an annhilator, which the stock cannon and missles. the last mission gives you a lot of time to heal, and the fourth mission is actually really easy - 2-3 missles for each turret and some cannon fire guarentees the job.
ReplyDeletemission three was the only one i had a bit of trouble with, the key is to not get too close to the battleships otherwise you can have four ships all firing missles and two machine guns - you get taken down pretty quick. the campaign isnt so difficult.
Personally I think the only time where defence is probably good is in survival, but i find you can take the planes down quick with the annihilator (eg other agility planes). weapons are probably poor for survival because they have no armour regen. Agility is best for close range 1v1, and weapons for long range, although i would recommend agility on the whole.
the hawken is a great compromise between all planes, but will be taken down by an extreme weapons (like the sentinel) or extreme agility (like the spectre/mako/reaper)
If I am correct, the arbiter and the annhiliator should both have +6 energy regeneration
ReplyDeleteAnd how much (if the green eagle came back) would the green eagle cost?
ReplyDeleteIt's not coming back, and was 300 coins before
DeleteWhy is the annilator on the agility class comparison guide twice?
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating the comparison table! However, I note that also the Dragon has the characteristic "DMG Resistance", but the values in the table have been assigned to the feature "Missile Resistance" ...which is a feature no longer existing, as you reported in "Plane Performance Parameter Definitions". For consistency should not be assigned the values of "DMG Resistance" to "Damage Reduction vs Missiles & Cannons", in defense class plane comparison table, as rightly done in the agility one? Thanx for clarifying on that point.
ReplyDeleteGuys, do you know if Nightwing sold for coins or credits and if so how much? Also, I saw someone used annihilator and moved like god and beat me fair and square with standard weapons while I was using Thresher with upgraded weapon. Granted I'm not super good but his movement was amazing. I was hit left right center without seeing him. Is there a place where I can find out about dogfight tricks?
ReplyDeleteI wish, I always have the same problem. I am up against any experienced Agility class player with my Hawken, and all I see is him flying in every direction, and my health bar depleting. I have absolutely no idea how people dodge like that and then have enough agility to fly around my tail and get clear shots.
DeleteThey may be cheaters or it is just lag, It is not said that if someone beat you flying so good, him/her is very skilled.
DeleteIS it possible to get an excel spreadsheet of the plane stats?
ReplyDeletePlease can anyone let me know how can I get a green F113 Eagle jet fighter? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAdi
You must finish the 5 campaign missions and buy it for 10'000 credits.
DeleteBut if you mean the F-112 Green Eagle, It will probably never show again in the game.
DeleteD-112* my bad.
DeleteIs it just me or does anyone else think Weapons class planes are more agile than what the charts suggest?
ReplyDeleteI own a fully upgraded Dragon and an Eagle-X with all the agility upgrades. Despite having a total of +10% Agility on my Dragon compared to +7% on my Eagle-X, I seem to turn a LOT easier in my Eagle-X.
This because weapon class planes, even without upgrades and extra agility, have more agility than defense just because they are weapon class.
Delete^I agree. I have a Dragon and a Saber and I think the same.
ReplyDeleteI personally did individual tests on my planes and their agility. To do this I timed how long it took to do a full horizontal turn and did three tests on each plane. I did it by going into singleplayer survival mode and on a specific map. It was a map with a sun and I tested it by using a stopwatch and used the sun as my starting and stopping points.
All of my planes are fully upgraded. Remember, these are not 100% accurate, but they are very accurate results. I tested each 3 times just to make sure it was accurate
Here are my results: (these are how long it took to do a full turn)
Red Widow: Weapons class W/ +10% agility
7.289 seconds
7.193
7.173
S03 Saber: Weapons class NO EXTRA AGILITY
7.456
7.611
7.529
F105 Dragon: Defense Class w/ +4% agility
7.891
8.000
8.153
Iron Fang: Agility class w/ no extra agility
6.168
6.194
6.249
J35 Dynasty: Agility class with +13% agility
5.879
5.769
6.088
And there are my results. I proved the dragon is still less agile than the saber, even if the dragon had a total of +10% agility when the saber only had +7%
Please reply if you think otherwise about my results, as i think these are pretty accurate. and sorry for not having a defense class with no extra agility to show, the dragon is all i owned.
Hope this helped!!!!
oh yeah my GC is fakethor by the way if you wanted to add me
DeleteThanks for the empirical data, sorry it took so long for me to notice your reply! Adding you on GC soon. Mine is Alcadeias.
Deletewere the first 2 tries for the Dynasty off?

DeleteMetalstorm forever, what is your record of winning results in vs mode?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THIS SITE!!! But it needs catigories/ everything is just One Big MESS! No ofence...
ReplyDeleteIf you try to skim your plane wing in the water your plane crashes
ReplyDeleteNo it doesn't, it's possible. I have been able to half-submerge my Eagle-X without crashing. You need to slowly decrease your altitude and then turn right or left.
DeleteI'm still somewhat confused. I'm not sure if I've found it yet, but there is a 3% health regen on Agility planes right? If so, could someone help me out?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
it's somewhere in the middle bottom of the upgrades tree. it costs coins to upgrade.
Deleteso whats the best plane of all categories??
ReplyDeleteI noticed in your charts above that the defense and weapons planes show values for lock range but the agility planes do not. Also, defense shows damage resistance but the other two do not. Does this indicate that when the values are not shown that there is an understood +0%?
ReplyDeleteIs the f-113 eagle-x a better vs and wave plain then the x-23 nightwing.
ReplyDeleteMetalstorm Forever:
ReplyDeleteHey I absolutely love this plane comparison guide; because of this i've got a few suggestions.
~Being that you already have the green for the bonus stock additions would you mind adding:
~~Maybe an orange for the best in class stats and,
~~Maybe a red for the best in fleet?
I think that these would make the guide even more readable and comparable.
Also one more thing. I think that it would be beneficial to organize the planes by class strength (i.e. planes with 1 bonus on the left, up through 4 bonus's on the right).
Just some friendly advice, i would love to help you out on this if you contact me!

Thanks Korbrea - great suggestions. I will look into this.
ReplyDeleteWhat should I get, sentinel or night wing
ReplyDeleteHey metalstorm I was lookin at warlords upgrades and the armor regen is plus six so if I'm right then it has highest regen in agility
ReplyDeleteCelt1c sa1nt
Nevermind metalstorm about the 6% armor regen I was being stupid and thought that after i upgraded it once that it said plus 2% meaning it continuously went up by two percent. Sorry about the false info
