Real Name: SU-47 Berkut
I do not own a green eagle but have fought against many of them. These suckers just do not die. They have regenerative armor (jokingly called an Invincibility Rating in this altered graphic). Their health is constantly regenerating after you strike them. So much so that the only way you can really kill them is to hit them repeatedly and quickly with Bisnovats or possibly other high damage missiles. If you just have Phoenix, RAAMs or Sidewinders, forgetaboutit, you are going to have a hell of a time taking this green bastard down.

So... what to do when you are up against a green eagle??? The achilles heal of the green eagle is that they are as slow as friggin molasses. These tanks just chug along like a tired old turtle. If you are up against one, do not expose yourself by going head-to-head with it. If you have an agility class plane or even a weapons class plane, a close range engagement will stymie the green eagle. You will be able to easily circle around him and catch him from the side or from behind. He will likely attempt to do a run away from you to get out of the circling match, but increase your throttle and stay with him (see maneuvers section of this site). You should easily be able to stay on the rear of this sloth and obtain at least a 0-0 draw. If you can manage to get a kill on him with lower class missiles, let me know (I've never been able to do it). Good luck!!!

I am curious if Z2Live is going to bring back the green eagle - it has not shown up since the switch to the Wingman game.
Killed a 26k green eagle with ram and thresher yesterday... Mostly luck since I got like 7 consecutive criticals in a row... Still took the entire game to bring it down once.

ReplyDeletethose who miss Green eagle ! have alook at Dragon ... Dragon is Tamed green eagle with reduced armor regenration , reduced evasion and marginally reduced energy.... Dragon is fine for Survival missions earling you Credit points.

Deleteyup credit missiles are possible to kill green eagle faced a guy with green eagle sr 7k with bisnos keep trying to bull run away i kept hitting him with raams and eagle x was what i was flying. after shooting a few missiles the trick is to cannon non stop until you reload missiles thn spam missiles roll out of way firing cannon at him all the time.....killed that guy 2-0. coincidentally i have faced a guy 30k sr with green eagle and beat him 1-0 with eagle x and lancers

DeleteI have faced an over 600000 green eagle and I killed it with my RAAMs and my maxed out Hawken. We ended up with a 4-1 match. Then we played a couple of times and I won all the time with like 3-2 or 3-1.
DeleteHave won 12k green eagle 5-1 with Eagle-X and 30 meteors (two bonus packs from mission 5 lol). But obviously i was just lucky that he used Phoenixes and the fight took place on water map. Two rematches ended 0-0. Sidewinders and Vulcan only scrathed that tank.

ReplyDeleteI personally have killed just a few of the magic turtles using Hawken+Phoenix+Valkyrie it is possible even when the magic turtle has been upgraded but it is a serious challenge, the only way to do this is to continuously nail it with missiles and cannon fire until it turns into a puff of smoke.

ReplyDeleteI've made several kills using my red widow as well. Was able to get multiple hits over and over. A couple other times the pilot was pretty good and I was unable to get hits fast enough. It seems to be more the pilot then the plane, but give a good pilot that jet and i wish you good luck.

This plane is difficult, but as it is defence class, the main weakness is cannons. I once scored two kills against an eagle, mainly using my cannon( Standard Vulcan) but a few shots of missiles( Ram). I had used a Dragon against this beast and won. Although it's rare to kill one, the chance will increase if you're versing a noob.

ReplyDeleteReally wish they'd bring it back; used to own one, and it was hell great for versus matches as my adversaries took forever to bring it down. Once shot one down using sidewinders, a vulcan, and a C101 Annihilator. Took me bout a minute and 40 seconds.

My opponents skill rating was 46,--- I can't remember the last numbers. I was using my loyal Thresher with just standard weapons both cannons and missiles and he was using RAM's and Banshee's. The easiest way to bring them down is to have a close combat battle where you keep firing bullets and missiles and not give them a chance to rest. I went on to finish the match 3-0. Needless to say, it was still difficult to bring down that ace.

Though seeing as their biggest drawback is speed and firepower, it's no wonder why everyone switches to the 'classic' and 'common' Hawken. Don't get me wrong, the Hawken is a nice plane but along with the Red Eagle as I call it; they are just too common. Out of all my 77 comrades in the game, anout 2 of them were added because they flew green eagles. I truly hope that Z2 brings back the Green Eagle. I would solely use it as a survival plane. I also think that Z2 should create another Eagle based plane except this time make it an agility class. Just as the Red Eagle has amazing weapons perks and the Green Eagle has amazing defense perks, I think the (made up name) 'Blue Eagle' would be a super fast and agile beast.
the blue eagle should have an evasive of 13%,speed of 14% cannon damage of 7% and agility of 15%.
DeleteDear Anonymous...Those stats would be downright ammzing. Though I personally wouldn't mind seeing the Evasion being replaced with maybe Energy or Energy Regen. Since we Agility Class aces quickly run out of energy with our speed boosts and spinning. I wouldn't mind seeing a little extra Armor Regen on this Blue Eagle.

Yeah, if Z2live really cared abouted its overpowered stats in cometitive play, they can just restrict this plane to and campaign and survival only.

ReplyDeleteI went up against someone in one of these yesterday in my Reaper. (To make matters worse, he was also carrying bisnos) After pounding it for a couple of minutes with standard-issue weapons (to no avail), I flew slowly in a zigzag pattern towards the ground, then pulled up when the altimeter read 0. His plane wasn't nearly maneuverable enough (and he fell for the trick) so he slammed straight into the ground and I won the match 1-0. I doubt I could do that consistently, though.

ReplyDeleteI'm an old MSO pilot and I have the green eagle.. Trust me it is over estimated. I rarely use it in versus because it is too slow, and people with weapon plane burn me quickly with raam. Good only for survival, but not better than dragon IMO

ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite plane on this game, with only one drawback: it's slow as fuck. But because of that, the sheer defensive power and health regen make up for it completly. If your in vs with one of these, you're gonna be lucky to tie.

It's as if he has the 40% damage reduction when maneuvering, speed and agility of agility, and that ARMOR REGEN!

DeleteOne tip, if you play with someone who owns a green eagle, then send a friend request. It is helpful to have green eagle wingmen in the campaign. That's what I did.
ReplyDeleteI could probably clear all campaign with standard weapons without any wingman. Now I have so much friends (400+) that it takes too long for the game to load. Then the game crashes, so I don't play campaign except for the first two any more lol.
