Damage Resistance 10% Best in class and first weapons class plane to ever have this boost. Should be a powerful feature.
Missile Reload 10% 2nd in class, tied with a bunch of other planes. I love missile reload - it is one of my favorite boosts.
Energy 12% Tied for best in class with Warlock. Always good to have more energy, although I rarely run out using weapons class aircraft.
So lets see: Good damage, Excellent Damage resistance, Excellent Missile Reload and some more energy. Besides the energy, these are all great boosts. If you are a weapons class aficionado, then this may be a new favorite.

DeleteYayyyy another wraith lover. I think, personally that the wraith is one of the best planes out their. We should duel sometime. My SR is only about 3650. But I don't use anything except standard issue, and maybe RAAMS. I have beaten the Eagle 3-0 with the wraith just so you know.

Guys this new KD 90 is tempting me it's stats make it a good plane for versus it's 1% below the cyclops and sky demon in agility and is only 3% down in canon dmg and 4% down in missile dmg to the sky demon.but it's defense class so it has alot of energy and it's had +14% speed making it as fast as most weapons class planes.its a real bargain for 180 coins I've got 160 right now should I get it I need some review or something please reply. Note I already have two other def planes fully upgraded dragon and raven

ReplyDeleteJust got it. I half upgraded and it is pretty good if you don't mind the lack of missile reload speed and lock on. I also have the dragon fully upgraded. There is a great difference in speed and agility since it is actually more agile than my hawken.

ReplyDeleteGot this plane tried it out in versus. Shot down a hawken, several C101, red demon. my SR is 15K. I find the plane slower then some other weapons planes. My Tigris is much better, I prefer it. I have most planes in the inventory and play as a loner. I don't fight the clans since someone mentioned that they get the leaked versions. I use RAAMS/Valkari. I hate blue coin users and let em know after I win the match.

ReplyDeleteOn a different not, I just fought a layer whose SR was 500, and had never fought a round befor. I thought that once your SR reaches 3000, you can only fight people with a higher SR what's up with this??? I won all three matches 6-0 I was using my wraith + standard issue. The first pilot had lancers, the second had Phoenix missiles. ( I fought the first guy twice)

Going against coin missile players require different tactics when playing with stock/credit missiles and I find that actually interesting so I'm not totally against it.

One time a coin missile user beat me when I used RAAM and said that I was over-rated. He basically is a low life and isn't human enough to know about respecting others. He didn't accept a rematch with same coin missiles so s/he's a pussy as well.
Along with disrespectful players, lag is probably one of the top reason that ruins the game too.
I mean seriously, I could dodge coin missiles easily if it didn't lag.
For example if my opponent was a flipper, lag makes me turn slower when they backflip and they twirl around and dodge my RAAM missiles that really should have been a hit.

I dont usually buy blue coi9n planes, I stick with the low level ones such as the wraith. I have several of the good planes, but choose not to use them because its more fun to get a kill with a not-so-good plane. I DO have coin missiles, but I never use them. (I'm trying to save up enought AIM-123's to get all 3 objectives in the port crescant attack.) luck has nothing to do with anything. It does come down to the pilot, so you're right in one respect.

Stop whining about coin missiles. First you get Lancers and Meteors in the last two missions. I farm them a lot. Also if somebody wants to spend money on coin missiles let them. I face Bisnovats often and almost always win the match anyway.
It doesn't seem to occur to some of you that the lag may NOT be MS. If your opponent has a slow connection you will get lag.
And last stop whining about MS coming up with ways to make money. It's a business. That's what good business do. If they don't make money, you won't have a game to play. I'll bet all of you expect to get paid when you work.

ReplyDeleteYour comparison with phones isn't really valid. With, or without the iPad 2 being released, the iPad 1 would preform the same- same apps, same performance. In metalstorm wingman meanwhile, people with less powerful equipment(planes) tend to have a disadvantage. Were there to be no versus mode, this wouldn't be a problem- you buy a good plane, and you win(take skill out of the equation). In versus mode however, you buy one plane, next week opponent buys better plane. You loose. Thus essentially, in metalstorm wingman, every time a new plane is being released, with better stats, your plane becomes worth less. There are many ways to make money, so why z2 is insisting on this strategy, I don't know...this strategy, causes quite some frustration I have to say : (
It's completely valid. Why would they make the new product no better than the older product? Then there would be no reason to buy the new product. This is not just MS, it's pretty much all successful businesses.

Well the striker for one out dates the reaper. I know it's not out yet but I'm just sayin. Perhaps more creative business's strategies are in order. MSW operates like a bunch of kids run the show. No vision. How about releasing new campaigns and maps that are worth coins or credits? How about customizing your planes features such as changing the color schemes and such for credits or coins? How about tournaments that cost coins to enter? There are so many other ways for Z2 to make money while also making the game more fun. Simply releasing better and better planes with no other real improvements to gameplay will make this game obsolete. Take it from someone who owns his own house, has a high paying career, doesn't live with his mom, and oh wait, did I mention I'm a marketing director for a company valued at 100mil and before that I owned my own business for the past seven years? I think I might know a thing or two about how to market a business. Your business model is lame.

I agree with the statement that MSW could be more creative with ways to make money than simply making new planes. We are way over due with new campaigns. You make several good suggestions. However, the idea of new planes being a lame business model doesn't fly. As I said earlier, most all successful companies do that. You have to look no further than Apple to see that. I just bought the iPad2 and within a few weeks the HD version came out. I've been at the VP level and seen first hand what happens when you don't continue to come out with better products. In MSW's case they should have a more creative output than just new planes. But that does not mean that new and better planes shouldn't be part of the plan. And my old RW still kicks ass.
DeleteIm not opposed to releasing new planes but don't think that should be their only business model and shouldn't be so frequent. You keep comparing MSW to Apple when they are worlds apart. Apple releases newer products to keep up with their competition. iPhones and iPads have a lot of competition and competitors are keeping them on their heels by releasing better products. Who are your competitors that you need to keep making new planes to compete with? I really think MSW is doing themselves a disservice by not improving the game in any other way than releasing new planes. I have spent $150 on buying coins and did it only because I wanted to support the developers. I don't believe in anything being free. I was expecting more from the developers at this point in the game and frankly I'm about over MSW. They seriously need to get their act together, improve the game to be more fun or risk losing a paying customer.

if you want to fly through buildings in a city, then play SGAS. It's alot better than metalstorm, besides the $4.99 to buy the game, it's entirely free. except for about 2 or 3 planes that must be purchsed to unlock.

I get the most AP when I play offline. get the P-51D, and use it in the Last man standing/Team death match rounds I usually get about 230 AP per round. but remember to set the game time to 13+ minutes, that way you have enough time to wrack up 50+ kills.

Though there only a slight difference in damage. The question here is would agility or damage resistance prove a better advantage? Hope the gurus can help me out

DeleteIn my opinion, I would prefer the Striker because of the extra damage and armor. I have a thresher fully upgraded and I am able to outmaneuver the reaper with some swipes and sharp turns. Having to much agility can be hard to control and keep steady especially when trying to aim your cannons.

ReplyDeleteB2A (Sky Demon) should have it too but evidently Z2 doesn't care anymore about making planes with the stats they shoiuld have, but just to make them better than the previous ones. I wouldn't be surprised if after these superplanes (Sphynx, Sky Demon, Striker, etc.) they will release again the D-112 Eagle (maybe they were overpowered to balance GE's "invincibility": Sphynx's agility to outmanuver it, Striker's damage to have more chances to blow it up and Sky Demon's Agility stats to dodge the Bisnovats R-40 fired by the turtle).
DeleteAt the rate they're going, they'll probably release the Green Eagle again with the same stats as before, but as a weapons class. These hybrid planes are kind of silly if you ask me...
DeleteI wouldn't object to release the D-112 Eagle if it means that it would lower it's armor regen to 6 percent and more damage.

And from all the complaints they should ban it from versus mode unless you have a SR of over 10000.
Green Eagle should be banned from Versus with no exceptions. You said that because you have a skill rating over 10,000. You will get no respect because you use the Raven. The F-105 Dragon, M-11 Raven and D-112 Green Eagle are the three planes that should be banned from Versus.
DeleteThe problem is, with all these bisnovates pilots, flying defense class, for the most part, requires you to use the annoying three armor regenerating planes... If you ask me though, I think z2 should just give up defense class. If you are to make a decent defense class aircraft, credit and stock weapon pilots, will be frustrated...and the better and better featured plane strategy isn't much better either..so why bother? No one wants to waste their ammo on powerful defense class aircraft, so why bother making them? Z2 has to have something better to do don't they?

ReplyDelete'not as good' is subjective...in other words, there armor regen is not as high as the GE.
DeleteThey are banned because you can't kill them, unless you are flinging bitchnovats or blue coin missiles...their armor regenerates too fast to kill them otherwise.
And it's boring as hell playing them...I use stock missiles and guns and end up just avoiding their missiles, instead of wasting time and energy firing at them. Then just wait for the 2 minutes to be over.
I'll shoot them every so often just to remind them that I'm at their 6.
if you can show them you are at their 6, then why can't you kill them. Not like they're very agile. I have killed one with stock weapons

DeleteI have a couple kills with the Raven and like 1 with the Dragon...probably not fully upgraded and/or lucky 'critical strikes'.
I keep hitting them with missiles and frequently barraging them with guns, but they don't go BOOM.
That's the annoying part...You can out maneuver them and get numerous hits on them, but their regen is too high for stock weapons.
Your kill ratio says it all...'killed one'.
I have only played a couple...do you have a weapons class? You can kill the dragon and raven with a hawken.

ReplyDeleteEvery time I fulfill the steps to get free blue coins, I start getting SPAM texts and Telemarketers call my cell phone!!!!
It's annoying. I stopped getting the free blue coins and within 2 weeks, the SPAM texts and almost all of the phone calls stopped.
Then yesterday, I filled out one of the offers and within hours, I got a SPAM text and today, I've been called 3X by telemarketers.
IS Z2 SELLING OUR PHONE NUMBERS????
Hasn't happened to me but it's not likely that Z2 would do that. Are you giving out your number when you fill out an offer? I would think it would most likely start there.

If you say bisnovates are unfair, it’s like saying tech upgrades are unfair too since they give people without them a disadvantage. I agree, It's been more like a 'vent-your-anger-at-anyone-with-an-opposing-view' chat room. I don't think that their are any stratagies being posted anymore. so lets change that.
ReplyDeleteAwhile ago, I battled a Hawken pilot useing RAAM's, (he won the match) he was doing something I asume most people know about, but for the benifit of those who don't, here it is: instead of fireing both RAAM's simultaniously, he would fire them in sequence, (fire one, wait a second fire a second.) that way, when I dodged the first missile, the second one would hit me mid roll, not giving me enough time to take evasive action. Towards the end of the match, I started useing the same tactics, but it was to late.
When in a circle-battle match, keep your finger on one weapon button or the other. Don't wait for the plane to come into view before deciding what to spam at him. either keep you finger on missiles, or cannon. other wise, the second of indecision time will give your enemy time to make good his escape.

I just wasted 205 coins for this shit, I should have just waited for the FIREFLY! Z2, Should make it where you can Return, Trade, or just get rid of the planes that you don't want anymore!!!

ReplyDeleteAs I stated before, Upgraded, And with a "skilled" pilot, This plane could be a formidable one! Nothing new here. In fact I like the HAWKEN better! It's very difficult to turn this plane in verses (for me) It's sluggish, The fast reload helps, But There is better out there. Plus it's a very ugly plane too. I don't even know why I bought this plane?!?! Save your coins kids....
ReplyDeleteUpgraded, And with a skilled pilot, It's a formidable plane, Without it, It's sluggish, Slow, It's very difficult to turn in VS (imo) Although, Fast reload helps, I think there's Quite a few better planes to get in MSWM. Not to mention it's a very ugly plane too! Saved your coins kids!!
