T-40 Arrow |
We have quite a colorful little red and white addition to the weapons class this week in addition to the Griffin. Not sure if this is meant to resemble a candy cane or a barber poll, but maybe its stats make up for its looks:
Missile Tracking +7%: Tied for 2nd in class behind Titan, Helix and Liberty (1% behind them)
Missile Reload +12: Tied for 1st in class with the Hurricane.
Armor +10%: 3rd in class behind Titan (+2%) and Paladin (+1%)
Lock Speed +8% Tied for 2nd in class behind Liberty (+2%)
Looks like we have a missile firing sharp shooter here similar to the Hurricane in many ways. With 1st in class at missile reload and strong boosts in missile tracking and missile lock speed, the Arrow will be a strong missile fighter. With no speed or agility boosts, on the other hand, it will be easy to circle behind. However a strong 10% boost in armor helps offset a little of its poor maneuverability. Overall a decent plane and an interesting addition.
The Arrow has been added to the Comparison Guide and also to the Fleet at a Glance - check it out!
1st!
ReplyDeleteF-5 tiger. fighter in real life
DeleteWith a hawken almost fully upgraded (still need +85 energy +3 damage boost and gun damage boost) I can't find a reason why I want to suffer through the upgrade process again. The thresher is taken a long time as I'm mid way through upgrades.
ReplyDeleteSimply put, if you have a hawken, there's very little reason to buy another weapon class airplane if your a casual low - mid performance fighter.
The F-20 IMO, should be a basic, low stat plane. But whatever.... I'm sticking to my striker as my primary plane now...
ReplyDeleteUnlike the above, I have it, and it's great, the stats make it powerful in campaign and survival mode, and it has a blood red flame like the dragon and sky demon!
ReplyDeleteBased off of the F-5E Tiger II. It was a revolutionary aircraft for its time. It was the first aircraft to take advantage of the newly discovered body design for supersonic aircraft.
ReplyDeleteif you'll notice that where the center of the wing meets the body, the body thins out. Where it thins out the most is where the wing was thickest.
I don't know the exact physics why, but it reduced wobbling during supersonic flight.
Correct me if I'm wrong. (Or was it the F-86 that had the fully moveable tale fin that kept it stable at high speed?)
huh, the real F-5 had two engines, not 1
Deletethough other varients may have had a single engine.
That's why it's called the F-20. Btw: the F-35 is the last manned fighter, NightFury, not the F-22. (In response to a post by you on a different topic.
DeleteYour right. Someone on the show 'Warplane' screwed up in what they said about the last manned fighter being. My appologies for the mistake. BTW, good catch. Mutch appriciated.
DeleteIt's to bad that now fighter pilots are a dying breed. I still hope that the US still has reserve pilots. (after all, computers can be infected, people can't, + we have a conciensce, whereas a computer is just programmed to do something that may be unethical, but it doesn't care.)
But then again, we spend millions per pilot, so we would be saving alot of cash that can be wasted on something else.
...never going to start discussion on what plane is good, and their political roles again... (see version 4.2 page)
Deleteif, you can't win, don't get into an argument. All you know is the Communist propaganda you've been fed.
DeleteI don't quite know what you meant by political roles :-)
I've got all the missile shooting I need in my Eagle-X. Looks like a cool plane, but I've already got a Reaper, a Juggernaut, a Nightwing and my Eagle, so I'm pretty much covered in all areas.
ReplyDeleteCool look, not buying.
Cool plane but I'm sticking to my Striker. Played against the Arrow twice armed with bisnos and all three boosts, I won 2-0 each time with just rams and free boost. This plane was extremely easy to outmaneuver.
ReplyDeleteIn real life the arrow is the British Hawk trainer jet aircraft. Its used as a trainer jet by most people but some countries rely on the Hawk as its front line fighters.
ReplyDeleteA Hawk?! Get your facts right it's an F-20A Tigershark
DeleteIndeed the T20 Arrow is based on the Northrop F-20 Tigershark. The original aircraft also did come with a red/white paint scheme:

Go to wikipedia, and it will say that the F-20 was originally named the F-5. I'm right. And so are you.
DeleteThe British Aerospace Hawk, looks similar to the US A-4 skyhawk, but in reality is alot different. The A-4 is 20 years older, and is alot chunkier than the British Hawk.
Nope, the F-20 is BASED on F-5,it is actually a modified F-5,not the same plane since F-5 had two engines and lacked the capability to fire AIM-7 Sparrow whereas the F-20 had a single engine but have the ability to fire the Sparrow. It's faster and have more range than the F-5 as well
DeleteI know, that's what I meant.
DeleteThis plane should be known as the noob plane. Coin missiles only.
ReplyDeletedo you know when d-122 green eangle will realised again?? please peply
ReplyDeleteD-112 Eagle (GE or Green Eagle) will never be released again ;p
ReplyDeleteOk I'd say that Hurricane is better because it has more damage than Arrow. Arrow has weak punch
Hey, Jan. Both Hurricane and Arrow have no extra damage so this means they have the same amount, why do you say hurricane has more?
Deletewhy it will not realised again?
ReplyDelete'Cause it sucks so much (it's so good, it sucks); and people who don't have it whine about NOT having it becaue they get pounded by people who do own it.
ReplyDeleteJust get the F-105 Dragon when it's rereleased. It's my personal fave for Defense class.
ok thanks
ReplyDeleteLooking to sellmmy ID i have fully upgraded hawken +1000 binso missels +10000 hades ammo
