Interesting Artwork on Z2Lives "Official" MSWM site

New website hosted by Z2LIVE as the "Official" MSWM site.  As opposed to this site which is most definitely the UNOFFICIAL Site!     I guess this site is the evil twin.  :-)

Site is at the following address: http://metalstormwingman.com/

I am guessing that you will hear the more "official" company line and less objectivity, but it is worth a look.

The site has a discussion forum (another place to vent and complain similar to the Z2Live MSO Facebook page I imagine).  The main thing of interest that I saw was the weapons section.  Some new artwork and new spec numbers - they've done away with the percentages and looks like they are finally showing the "real" specs as War Wolf Beta has been pointing out the inaccuracies for quite awhile now.  I don't believe that any of the weapons have actually changed but they are now just better characterizing them.

Take a look - if nothing else, the new artwork is nice.  Curious why they didn't insert this into the recent version release.

  1. I prefer the evil twin. Keep up the excellent work! I appreciate it.

    Look at the MBDA Meteor's stats! Compared to the AIM-9 Sidewinder that reads like:

    Damage: 100% (120 vs. 60);
    Tracking: 110% (4.2 vs. 2);
    Speed: 35% (27 vs. 20);
    Range: 0% (125 vs. 125).

    Yes, that is the Meteor not the Bisnovat! The Meteor is even slightly better than the Bisnovat R-40 should be. This is ridiculous. And the Bisnovat and the AIM-132 Lancer are totally out of bounds.

    Going to war with stock or credit weapons against a Lancer or Bisnovat user is like showing up for the highnoon shootout in front of the Saloon with a knife.

    I would really like to see the faces of some Bisnovat users if Z2Live were about to adjust weapon stats to correct in-game-values. Should be a pretty bad awakening. :-D

  2. But most people using Bisnovats are simply too spoiled. When they see me using sidewinders, they simply didn't even dodge them.... But I dodged theirs. After the head to head, I guess because they're too used to long range spamming, and kill opponent before close engagement, it seems to me that they know NOTHING about dogfighting and simply BACKFLIP for the whole match 2 minutes and 20 seconds. No other movements, but BACKFLIP for 20 times, before I kill them with sidewinders.... That's really humiliating, I guess :P

  3. I just noticed a way to over come the heat limit! If you tap the cannon fire FASTER then the cannon can really fire, you can cool it down while shooting the cannon at max speed!

  4. I think that tracking value were adjusted to satisfy its advertised capabilities. And were adjusted through experience not through calculations.

    I mean that Z2Live in first place decided to make missiles with specs that we have. And only after that they found right tracking value so that missiles could behave right way.

    I think that tracking value in program code represents something like maximum turning speed. And tracking value that is advertised in purchase menu represents something like overall chance of succesful hit.

    1. Hey man, good to see ya in versus mode, even if you thrashed me, lol. Initially I tried to beat you, but when you had a 2-0 lead, I realised it was impossible, so I just tried to conserve my precious missiles and exercise damage limitation... that kinda failed too, lol. Oh well, hopefully I'll give you a better match next day, I intend to buy an agility plane soon to practise an entirely different style compared to the dragon I've used since January.

  5. NO WONDER!!! I've been getting mine handed to me against players with Lancers, Vympels and Meteors...and I've done better against Biznos...

    I use stock guns and missiles :D

    1. I knew Bisnos didn't do 100% damage all along, cos my dragon can survive quite a few Bisnos, but Meteors and Vympels took chunks off my health with each hit. That said, in theory, Bisnos are marginally better than Lancers, but Lancer players tend to be better than Bisno players cos quite a lot of Bisno players are noobs.

      It's similar to how I struggle much more against Red Widows than Hawkens. The difference between the planes are minimal, but Red Widow players tend to be more skilled (cos they've invested more in the game), whereas a lot of Hawken players have Hawkens simply cos its cheap and everyone says it's good. Thus a lot of the time I find a player with Hawken+Bisnos are in fact much easier than they should be.

  6. Lancers = Prancers
    Meteors = Metewhores
    Vymples = Whimpels
    Bisnovats = Bitchnovats

    These missiles are ridiculous!

  8. Bisons make me angry. I think I'm the only one with a skill rating over 3000 that still uses sidewinders. :(
    I'd rather invest my money on new planes.

    1. I use sidewinders and vulcan and PWNPWNPWNPWN noobs with bitchboobnoobvats and zeus but have 450 lancer and 4500 apollo from mission 4. lately I just get 30,000+ sr guys though. 1-0 them or 0-0 no wins for me. version 5 is odd.
