Nice to see Z2 trying to have a bit of fun. All is supposed to be back to normal by tomorrow so enjoy while it lasts - I especially like the sparkly excrement spewing from the horses rear end in the artwork. Is this a new type of weapon?
What sort of strategies work best against agility class planes? I have a weapons class a-17 paladin which just can't get a shot off at agility class planes like the reaper. I don't want to get a agility aircraft myself because they are easily blown up and are virtually useless other than in versus mode.
ReplyDeleteI find that agility class planes' performance is most closely correlated to the skill of the player, in the sense that if a noob uses agility class, they'll get blown outta the sky with ease, but if an expert was using the same plane, they are a total nightmare to deal with.
DeleteI haven't worked out any consistently effective tactics (if such things exist), but generally speaking, I try to do the damage in the initial long range phase as the two planes close in on each other. To have any chance of hitting an agility plane, you need to fire your missiles in series rather than a quick volley (unless you're talking short range pot shots), I also try to disrupt their dodging by blasting them with cannons too. (I don't expect to hit or do much damage with the cannon, but hopefully as they try to dodge cannon fire, they'll fail to dodge missiles.) It is very difficult to hit a top agility player, but thankfully, both weapons class and defense class can easily defeat an agility class in a straight fight, so you can afford to get hit if you can hit the enemy in return, so you can focus on trying to hit the enemy, rather than dodging his attacks too.

I've always used agility plane which is my annihilator (fully upgraded) for my missions, and so far i've completed missions 1,2,3,4 with it! It shows that an agility plane is great and btw i most of the time win in versus mode against other players (again with the annihilator).
DeleteAt least with the horse, the "swipe maneuver" makes sense now :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it....I hope they don't change it
ReplyDeleteI actually took the Trojan Wartusk into versus mode and 2 opponannents quit when I started to beat them...I guess the thought of losing to a flying horse was too much to bear....notice the afterburners coming out of the horses @$$!!!
ReplyDeleteIf they keep this I am using this all the time
Tee hee
DeleteIs the F-106 Thresher any good it will be my first agility plane I usually use Weapons class planes
ReplyDeleteIf you have limited coins, Thresher could be a wise choice. Because you can save 165 coins for upgrading. Thresher doesn't have impressive bonus stats, but once fully upgraded it's not an easy opponent. You know, no fully upgraded, no go for versus match.
DeleteP-79 Spectre is out for 228 coins (I can't afford it I don't have any coins and Tapjoy doesn't give me a lot
ReplyDeleteHate stupid IPhone Keyboard
ReplyDeleteHurry up metalstormforever do a review!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!on P-79 Spectre
ReplyDeleteHas anybody purchased the new P-79 Spectre yet? Looks like performance stats are just under that of the the Reaper's, but the Reaper is a few coins cheaper. Thought the Spectre offers +12% Energy which is very useful for agility planes.
ReplyDeleteReaper all the way additional armor not much but can take one more RAAM than spectre but if you are chasing a weapons class when he is doing a bull run after going full throttle for 7seconds you can do only 1 maneuver but the spectre doesn't have that problem and the reaper never really runs out of energy in your matches do you think you need extra energy? I guess it's just good to have plus the reaper is more for less money 23coins Trust me I know from experience and tomorrow the spectre is gone soooo yah
