I am so glad the plane comparison tables are finally up to date. They help so much when trying to decide which plane to buy.
Sadly, however, I have decided to leave the full time playing, metalstorm community in favor of sky gamblers: air supremacy.
Sadly, that is for me: I don't think many of the 7.5 million people Playing metalstorm will give d**n what games I play with my time. Sadly, also for z2, as they will no longer get my business. I will no longer be buying coins from z2!!!!!
Ok, I probably won't stop playing metalstorm, but I'll no longer be playing on the scale that I used to.
Now that feels good to get off my chest.
On a totally unrelated subject: everyone knows the dragon is out again, well I bought it the minute it came out, and was astounded. Just a few minutes ago I beat a 6k SR player, who had; an eagle, meteors, and a banshee. I had my dragon, aim 120's, and standard issue cannon. My SR is was only 3140 at the time

Deleteyou must have unlocked the x-26 befor they could be purchased. now it saws "to unlock this plane (x-26) purchase in the market section of the store"

Glad that you're back, thanks for the updates. On a side note, is there anyway you can also let us readers to rank and review each plane? For example, It would be helpful to know that players with a SR of 0-3000 think the Dragon is a 4.5 star and players with a SR of 15,000-30,000 think it's 2 stars, etc. Thanks and keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteI am kinda neutral saying that I'm leaving Metalstorm Wingman. A new account didn't bring back the fun. I'm not leaving because of the iAP's, the lag, the hackers or the poor support from Z2live. The game doesnt appeal to me anymore as it became more of a chore to get higher skill rank and new planes.Ive gone on long winning streaks tho I have my many losses( don't take this as an opportunity to challenge me). I have spent my time mostly in SGAS and RoG because of the wonderful developers REVO. How much of what you post on the official MSW page actually gets read? Well for SGAS I don't need official pages because I have a worker at REVO on my FB. We asked for a Mac version of SGAS and it came out today less than a weeks wait. I know I have no business posting this here but. It's annoying getting requests to play during CTF matches. It didn't take long to realize but you can't fly a loop in metalstorm __&__ try it

ReplyDeleteDamn Ace, was looking forward to rematching. We had some even matches a few days ago. I believe we drew once, 1-0 the second match and 0-1 the third which leaves us tied. Is SGAS any better besides support? I have yet to try it..

MSW name: Raptor
Stats:
+8 Missile Reload
+10 Stealth
+14 Agility
+12 Speed
You might realise that I suggested it on official forums in case Z2 forgets and so other people can see the plane suggestion

It's your choice WEAPONS CLASS is hard to use if you are used to Agility class weapons class is too slow for me and I'm always killed in them the WARLOCK is a good plane to buy if you are new to weapons class but I'd stick with the reaper or buy the spectre because you can outmaneuver your opponent

Started with C101. I was an F-18 fan growing up, so I took to the Viper when it came out.
ReplyDeleteBut then the Maurader came along and I really liked the Skull, so I switched back to Agility.
The Viper was a solid plane back then and really enjoyed playing with it.
I was on vacation when the Cobalt came out...and didn't play, so I missed that chance for another F-18.
I don't paricularly like the Warlock's frame, but I do like it's stats.
Maybe I'll just wait for the next 'better' Agility plane.

DeleteThe tracking bonus seems meh, but the Titan's overall stats look pretty decent. Judging from the bonuses I presume it's a Weapons class. I might get it to see how it compares to Red Widow.

DeleteHey stan, that plane right there above post w/ grey paint on it. That would be 1 of my primary plane in vs. mode, do you see it... :) it looks cool, reminds me of the movie transformers that decepticon robot who transformed to a jet plane .... Shoot forgot his name lol.

ReplyDeleteBoth K-12 Panther (Agility) and RA-M84 Titan (Weapons) will be featured next week, July 30 - August 5. Following are some breakdown of each stat:
K-12 Panther (Agility), based on Tomcat, costs 30 coins
Missile Reload 6% - 1st in class!
Agility 6% - Same as Falcon
RA-M84 Titan (Weapons), based on F105, costs 205 coins
Damage 13% - Below Red Widow, Ice Wolf & Warlock.
Armor 12% - 1st in class!
Speed 14% - 1st in class!
Missile Tracking 8% - 1st in class, ties with Liberty & Helix.
And on the following week, both Red Widow and Liberty will make a return, from August 6 - 12.
Nice, keep the ifile up and running so that we can get some more info ahead of time! at least we get to see what's comin and get us ready to farm some coins...
DeleteI would have bought it if missile tracking was either critical strike, missile reload, energy, or lock on speed. Preferably energy because I do run out of energy sometimes with Liberty so if it's even faster, then it will run out of energy even more quickly I assume. But then again, since there's armor to take more hits, it should maximize power by changing missile tracking to critical strike.

DeleteHmmm, I think the titan is way better than your liberty! The only thing that change is the lock speed. which is in my personal opinion armor is way better! Just look at the stats compared to your liberty. +3% DmG, +2% Speed, tied w/ the missile tracking.
Lock speed of +10% vs Armor +12%.. Armor FTW!

Don't get me wrong, the armor is great. But looking at the whole bonus stats there's something to desire because it looks to be missile tracking instead of one of the stats I would prefer in a weapons class.

Delete+1 for RW. Extra energy for weapons should boost energy quite a bit, but I rarely run out of energy, so it means nothing to me.

DeleteBought it yesterday and upgrade right away, did 10 rounds in vs mode 6 wins and 4 draws w/ phoenix/banshee/free boost.. All opponents around 30k equip w/ lancers and bisnovat. I must say it's better than my Rw/hawken, the extra bunos energy comes in handy. The warlock doesn't get runout of energy if you use it wisely. The critical strikes of RW and lock range of the hawken are useless if your in a tight dogfight! Then the energy of the warlock comes to play in in circling match. Im an agility pilot and i know how to conserve my energy. Pwned 3 hawkens, 2 RW, 1 liberty, tied w/ rath,spectre,cyclops and cobalt. Today did 2 rounds of the warlock both loss to chinese pilots they just lag so bad :( w/ lower SR 10k than mine. If warlock equip w/ coin missiles in the hands of a weapon ace pilot you better be ready!
I disagree with critical strike being useless in a tight dogfight. If you're good, u can kill faster with RW than any other plane. I personally feel u were more comfortable maneuvering more with Warlock because u were less worried about running out of it. If played similarly with RW, u might have killed them faster and might have been able to get a win instead of draws.

DeleteYes w/ coin missiles and doing backflipping (most weapon pilots do) you will annihilate your opponent so easily.
Answer this can you defferentiate the ammount of damage w/ critical strikes on how much raams/phoenix damage you would caused to your opponent?
To killed them faster? Maybe w/ coin missiles... But i'm not a coin missiles spammer...
30k pilots are not easy as what you think, specially if they are equip w/ coin missiles... NOT A WALK IN THE PARK bro...
I used my weapons planes and equip it w/ creds and fly it like i'm using an agility plane.

I have a RW myself - I know how much damage it can do, and hey ! when I'm in a
spektra and the match is about to begin against a RW ( most likely armed with bisnovats ).
No matter how many times I experience this, I bet it will still scare the crap outta me !!!
but if iI get pass that danger zone, and get behind you. I sure you'll just hear cannons till you
go boom. My point is as wrx™ mentioned - Critical Strike is useless in a dog fight
and I consider myself an "Under Average" agility class & "Average" Weapons class- game player.

I'm a long time weapons class pilot (who rarely back-flips) with 57k+ SR, so I know what I'm talking about. Critical strike definitely gives me more chance to win instead of a loss or a draw. It works for me, but probably works better for you (and the anony above) with Warlock because you guys are mainly an agility pilot and fly weapons like agility.
I guess if you don't feel the difference in damaging power, energy would give you the peace of mind of not running out of energy and feel more beneficial than critical strike.
However, from my experience, when it comes to dealing higher damage and getting kills, combo of damage + critical strike bonus would come on top in the long run.
But the point is, it depends on your skill/ how you fly. "Useless" is such a strong word and I just wanted a little respect that Critical Strike isn't completely useless and it's very useful for me who doesn't need the peace of mind from energy and would prefer better damaging ability.

well said ^^ , sorry to upset your feelings about what i said my apology! like everyone said style's make fights... some of my agilty planes doesn't comes w/ bonus critical strikes except for my iron fang and stiletto. spectre, c101, and stiletto are my primary planes in vs mode. that's why i said critical strikes is useless for me coz i don't get to see it that much. 70% of my win in a single match rely on cannon's, 20% no lock hit's, 10% is a sure hit if it's H2H. I teared down my oponents and slowly chooping them
