| AF-Y4 Saratoga |
In honor of July 4th, Americas independence day, Z2 has released the AF-Y4 Saratoga. An agility class plane for 180 coins. Lets take a look at the specs and see if this baby is worthy of wrapping itself in the red, white and blue:
Agility: Tied for 2nd in class (and fleet). The highest rating is +15%, so the Saratoga is only slightly less agile than the Reaper and Stilletto.
Energy: Tied for 2nd in class. An energy boost is always nice for agility class.
Speed: The Saratoga is in the middle of the pack for speed with +11%
Evasion: Tied for 3rd in class.
So is the Saratoga worth the purchase? It has decent performance and if you are American and feeling particularly patriotic, you might consider purchasing it. My favorite agility plane is the Reaper and I don't think that the Saratogo will dethrone it, but the Saratogo may be good for a few July 4th fly-bys, parades and aerial shows where you can show off its cool stars and stripes artwork.
Of note as mentioned previously, I will not be able to add the Saratoga or Cobalt to the plane comparison table for a couple weeks, as I am on travel and do not have access to the files, but will update all when I return.

ReplyDeleteThis plane is worth it, at least in my opinion. I got it because it was cheap, only 180, instead of 205 or 300 blue coins, and it had stats that could be compared to the Spectre. Whereas the Spectre had +6% damage, this plane has evasion, which could potentially save you life in a match against a missile spammer. I got it, and the only thing I could have wished for was if it was a better modeled version of the F-22 Thresher except with some... 4th of July zest.
ReplyDeleteMy advice: if you have 300+ blue coins, get this, its worth it, for its stats, its limited edition state, and just because you can add another decent plane into your hangar.

I had no intention to buy this plane as well but then I realized that, for collection purposes, it actually is worth getting for the price of 180 coins. However, I won't fully upgrade this plane at least not until I stock up on more blue coins. It is a nice plane to look at....in the hanger :)

The Spectre was 228 coins last time. For 180 coins and similar stats, the Saratoga is really a bargain.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful paint job. However the F-22 Raptor airframe might have been a more appropriate canvas, especially as the bonus stats indicate a Thresher on steroids. Compared to the Reaper, Spectre or Rath, which have similar stats, the Saratoga is a bargain.

DeleteWhy don't you tell us the trick? I'm really curious, you know. I would like to emphasize that - if it is similar to previous tricks - there is NO RISK to get Zi2 to close it. As I already explained - you might remember I made the case for you when some guys charged to of getting Zi2 "to learn" the existence of the trick and to stop it - there is (or until now there was) a distinct trick for each version. This is something done consciously from Zi2 and it is replaced by another one every update. The Kid is an old fighter, you can trust him, buddy. If you didn't want to tell it in this forum, I would find it disappointing from you folk as you are one of the most active blogger here.

And Floro is 15 so he can't hack an online-only game, maybe only some games with little online features... It would make sense since he is so against it being released again. After all, he did post all this stuff on the official form saying not to release the Green Eagle again because the "noobs" will ruin the game. Even if there is a back door trick, the plane will be released either way. Patience, my friends, in due time we will find out if it will be released again. Ignore semantics and focus on the facts.

It is still marked as "hidden from store" in the game files. This isn't a simple joke so don't pretend you know the situation anonymous. DeleteThe green eagle sucks anyway... The worst maneuvering plane in the game! The first time I went up against a GE, Blew it out the sky, 3-0 with my sentinel with bisnos, actually I was pissed after the match because you have to fire a constant blitz missiles to bring that thing down. The second time I beat one with my liberty with bisnos 2-0. GE just waste your missiles!! that's about it... The GE is a plane used to piss people off, NOT a pilots plane...

DeleteActually, the GE is not that a fantastic plane, unless the guy flying it has better missiles than yours. If he has Bisnos, he may be able to get one or two kills, and it may be difficult to make more kills if you play with credits missiles. If the GE guy has only credits missiles, it might be quite difficult for him to kill you if you know your job. Of course, if you play with Bisnos and that you are in the mood for wasting them, it must not be too difficult to get several kills against a GE, especially when flying a good weapon plane.

ReplyDeleteGuys, this is how I got the GE. Suddenly I just got a friend request (not mensioning his name) so I asked who he is and what does he want. Well he was a begginer and wanted few games against me one match I thought I'll show him the dragon after the match I went on Facebook and wrote

So he said he will get it for me. When he was done he said I got you Green Eagle and Matauder fully upgraded and absolutely for free I didn't lose a credit or a blue coin I realised he hacked the game. It's not my fault and I got banned from fan page and MSAF.
So, to get things straight. You hacked to get what you wanted. There was no trick, and you tried to imply that you knew the trick (itself) when you didn't are actually relied on someone else.

ReplyDeleteBTW I think the new update sucks, now you will have to pay not only for weapons but also for temporary boosts to keep your plane competitive.
Due to the many complaints of players, the boosts might not be added. It might be the reason why the update is consuming large amounts of time, along with the apple corruption issue. But let's wait and see.

DeleteI really don't think that's going to be released due to its stats: Agility and Energy are common for agility class, but I think that Z2Live won't make a plane with similar stats as the Stiletto, noticing the additional(and useless)lock speed. But let's wait and see.

Btw, did you notice that the game has been taking longer and longer to startup? Because it has to download those new game files from their server. More new planes means more new files to be downloaded.
Don't know any other international trick, so I just use the iFile. :p

DeleteThey will release it. And the plane is pretty good, better than the F-12 Talon in terms of stats. Although, it's probably not your taste because you can't handle the lack of armour on agility planes.
DeleteNot at all, I prefer the c101 over any agility plane. However, the zephyr and the Saratoga are not to my liking in the slightest bit. I do like the decals of the Saratoga and the zephyr has a cool name but for some reason the c101 is just better.

It's only game and these planes will be out in a week or two anyway. The previews are cool just to know what is coming. It's just like a preview of any prerelease product.

DeleteSo do like I did. Save up enough coins so that you are ready for when the plane you want comes out. I'm continually doing Tapjoy and listening to the videos. I was ready for the Red Widow when it came out. And if you don't have enough, spend a little money and buy a few coins. I'll bet most people spend much more than that on soft drinks, beer, and/or cigarettes (cough,cough) and other such things. A Blizzard games etc. cost much more than that. It's not that much money especially if you have already been collecting coins.

ReplyDeletei'm a collector and i have all the planes in the game and found the hack so to me it was pretty useless but at least i got the saratoga for free .. as for all of you who got your hopes up ... it has nothing to do with the regions ect. and the GE sucks for versus matches i also baught some bisnovats for free but i don't intend to use them for now... maybe later when i fell like bisnoob hunting or when i feel like taking down wanko and his GE hehehe

Vipers are si rare. I met it once while using my green eagle. 2-0 he was using rams. I was like WTF how much DMG has that plane? It is low in DMG. Probably a hidden feature.

You should first login to Tapjoy, then click the Settings button on the top left corner (the button with 6 small squares) to see if your device was disconnected. If so, click Change to reconnect. After that it should be normal again.
The stats suck! Saratoga is much better for only 180 blue coins now look at LM-22 stats are not impressive and it's for 205 blue coins

I'm not too sure how each plane tech upgrades are but I'm guessing is base line plus the additional stats. If that's the case the Saratoga is a better and faster plane right?
ReplyDeleteThe Saratoga is much better because it's both the Saratoga and the Thresher's stats are based on the same property, but the Saratoga's numbers are higher. I recommend the Saratoga to you unless you don't have the coins, and the Thresher can be easily purchased with green coins. THe best agility plane out there is the Spectre, as it only has a 1% difference from the Reaper's stats and the additional energy is very useful incase you run out, or incase you meet a fully upgraded Sentinel with lancers; you need that energy to dodge long distance. And yes, the Saratoga is faster.

ReplyDeleteIt is probably a delay, sometimes I have launched apps and get the coins 5+ hours later. It is either that or you didn't keep the app open long enough to register the request.
