Version 4.2 Released

MSWM 4.2 has been released.  This version doesn't have too much to get excited about.  Updates for IOS 6 compatibility and restored compatibility with Facebook/Twitter & Sina Weibo (what the hell is that).  I'm sure somebody will chime in and school me on Sina Weibo. ;-)

  3. Maybe because not many people have updated their devise yet, I had a hard time finding opponents during matches.
Also, the game skips frame and is extremely laggy.

  4. Really leggy. Poor frame rate and much skipping. I hate it.

  5. I don't understand why do so many people experience lag. I have never had it.

  6. I don't like it. There is already a bug in the campaign. The mission map doesn't show anything for mission 5 only the blue circle around it.

I've noticed some different pop-ups and GUI animation.

There is significant lag or skipped animation frames on my iPhone 4. It was so bad, I gave up after 2 matches...I just couldn't play it.

  7. better graphics, no lag

  8. "Flying the skies has never looked so good!"
Oh please. Not only is SGAS better, but there are a whole lot of flight sims out there which look even better than SGAS.
And of course, real life looks the very best. :D

    2. you make no sense.

how could "Not only is SGAS better, but there are a whole lot of flight sims out there which look even better than SGAS.
And of course, real life looks the ver best. :D" not make any sense???

      of course SGAS is better.

hey, has anyone ever played Apache sim. It's a flight sim for the AH-64 Apache. The graphics, and physics of the game rock, and the 12 missions are awesome as well. It's free, and any fan of real life sims will be thrilled with this game.

    3. SGAS may be better, but that is what you get for paying an extra 3 bucks.

And OF COURSE flight sims look better. Maybe not FSX, but ones like X-plane and such. Reason? You pay for it. Money= good quality.

    4. You're paying the extra money for something which is actually a game, rather than a swindling program disguised as a game.

    2. Griffin looks tempting, I love weapons class, and I LOVE the
F-4 Phantom, favorite plane of all time.

    3. Me too! Luv my Phabulous Phantoms!

    4. If it's 12% missile reload, wouldn't it be "(same as FA-88 Hurricane)"?

I love weapons class, but these two planes lack extra damage.
I also like to have at least 10% agility to be competitive in dogfights too...
IMO, Arrow would probably feel a lot like Paladin (without the extra cannon damage and gaining 2% missile reload, 7% missile tracking, and losing 1% in armor).

    5. What's the F-4 Phantom? Is that the next week's featured plane?

    6. F-4 Phantom is the real life plane for the Wraith and Reaper

    7. You don't know what the F-4 Phantom is?? you're kidding me!?!

The F-4 Phantom made it's first flight in May, 1958 and was in service with the NAVY until 1986, when it was taken out of frontline service. It was flown by over 20 NAVY fighter squadrons. It saw extensive service in Vietnam where it proved it's superiority over the Russian MiG-21's.

Still in limited service today, it is still flown by the Israeli, Greek, Iranian, German, Egyptian, Japanese, and South Korean air-forces.

It's distinctive tail design, and wing shape are recognizeable almost everywhere. it flew with the Blue Angles, before they switched to the FA-18 Hornet.

Hoped that told you everything (an much, much more) that you wanted to know about this truely amazing fighter.

    8. How is the f-4 an amazing fighter jet? A mig-15 could out-maneuver it in a dog fight any day. It wasn't good for ground support missions either due to its high speed and delicate armor. It's poor performance in anything conceived upon lead to the development of new fighter jets as well as the a-10.

Americans used it for nothing more than the pathetic Vietnam and Korean war, in which they won nothing(and lost over 60000 men and woman). What's wrong with communism anyway?- what didn't the Americans get about different countries having different needs, and thus different political structures?

    9. @-(Night Fury)-
      103 F-4 taken down by MiGs against 54 MiG-21 by F-4 prove F-4 superiority???
1:2 win ratio proves that however F-4 was a good plane for its purpose, MiG-21 was superior to it at that time. Simply, US didn't have a concept of 'light fighter' and future F-15 was built just to overcome MiG-21 however planned differently.

By the way, don't mix up Mig-15 and MiG-17.
Look for some books about korean war. MiG-15 was at par with F-86, not a crap as you write. 4:1 win ratio against F-86. Crappy plane?

    10. I don't I know the difference full well. One was the Russians first jet fighter, and the second was a higher powered version. (twin engines) I admit the F-4 was not a good air superiority fighter, but it wasn't for dogfighting. It was designed to have a heavy hitting bomb load. It blew the heck out of enemy ground targets though.
When the F-15 was introduced in the early 70's, it was a top tier fighter of its day. It's advanced RADAR gave it the ability to destroy targets without making visual contact.

The US had air domminance fighters during the Vietnam war. It was called the F-5E Tiger-II, and the F-104 Starfighter. I don't know a whole lot about them, but the F-5E brought about one of the first major changes to the way supersonic aircraft were disigned. Later varients included the X-19 (MSWM's very own LM-22 Ares!) The MiG's have now been surpassed in every way however, by the advent of stealth fighters such as the F-22, and the F-35. And such aircraft like the Predator Drone.

The F-22 is considdered, by some to be the last manned fighter.

    11. If we hadn't given the Russians the German jet technology at the end of WW2, then the Russians would still be flying the Yak, and maybe a few old spitfires and mustangs that were given to them at the end of the war.

  13. I have been experiencing a very poor frame rate + lag since the update. Definitely not a Wifi issue bcos i tested it at my mum's residence with a different router (obviously). The problem is not merely in the Versus mode, but also the Campaign and single player Survival mode. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks.

  14. After I updated the challenges were not registering properly. I would get one and the message would pop up saying I got it and the icon became unlocked. On game center though it still has the challenge information from before the update and it doesn't show I got it.Anybody know why this is happening?

  15. Oh hey, Sina Weibo is just basic Twitter for China seeing that both Facebook and Twitter and Myspace are blocked in China. Most of us would never use it. It's pretty popular in China, though. I've been there a couple o' times myself.
